Our principles |
Why is this important? |
CSS impacts |
Relevant to an evolving market |
It ensures we embrace new technologies and the new ways in which businesses work |
New technologies, processes, roles and responsibilities and stakeholder interaction methods require education and training, collaboration and understanding to ensure the arrangements are fit for purpose and operate effectively |
Encourages inclusivity to all stakeholders |
Avoids the loudest voices dominating and allows stakeholders to be equally involved |
Design and Build of CSS arrangements has taken place outside of the REC. V3 drafting is consulted upon and therefore all stakeholders have to the ability to be involved. We will provide information, education and training to all stakeholders regardless of size, role and market involvement |
Supports and informs other REC Digital and Communications Strategies |
RECCo strategies are in alignment and Stakeholders understand the direction of the arrangements |
RECCo strategies will be uplifted with new CSS interactions, systems and processes as part of implementation and maintenance, where applicable. |
Consultative and collaborative |
Encourages active involvement |
Consultation and collaboration are actively encouraged through participation in the change process, OAMs, committees, education and training |
Uses stakeholder engagement data to improve and refine the Strategy |
Supports continuous improvement of services |
Our CSI page allows users to provide feedback. Our services continue to evolve, and we are setting up for CSS training, events and education using feedback received as part of mobilisation.
|
Addresses criticism of current processes |
Demonstrates that we have learned from old ways of working and sets expectations for an improved service |
We are developing processes and improving existing processes based on feedback, e.g., service desk interactions with the new CSS Service Providers.
|
Uses clear English appropriate to audience |
Ensures ease of understanding for all stakeholders |
All our documentation continues to be developed in line with Plain English Campaign guidelines. This includes documentation being produced for CSS Go Live.
|
Actively seeks input from stakeholders who represent consumers |
Incorporates consumer representative engagement in decision making and change management to put the consumer at the heart of the REC |
As part of our CSS engagement, we are developing best practice guidance from the PCWs/Supplier Forum to ensure a joined-up process for consumers.
